Sky Air ‘Comfort Inverter’ RZQS series from Daikin completes inverter range from 3 to 10HP.
Daikin Europe N.V. has introduced a range of inverter driven R-410A Sky Air heat pump units. Known as the RZQS series, the units are available in 3 models (3, 4 and 5HP) with capacities from 7.1 to 12.5kW (cooling) and 8.0 to 14.0kW (heating).
Designed for use as an alternative to the company’s existing RQ/RR Sky Air non inverter units, the single phase RZQS is intended for use in mainstream air conditioning market installations in small to medium commercial, offices, restaurants and shops etc.
The Sky Air RZQS is expected to appeal to customers requiring the benefits of inverter technology: low starting current, reduced start up time and improved temperature control. This new range is in addition to the existing Top Super Inverter range RZQ, which will be continued and offers even higher performances. Its introduction enables Daikin to offer a complete range of R-410A Sky Air inverter units covering all possible commercial applications in 3 to 10HP single and 3 phase versions.
Sky Air RZQS units feature the very latest Daikin DC reluctance compressors (swing compressors on the 3 and 4HP models and scroll compressor on the 5HP model), which incorporate 4 neodymium magnets and provides high performance, high efficiency and substantial savings on energy costs.
RZQS units can be connected to a wide range of 4-blow ceiling mounted cassettes, concealed ceiling, ceiling suspended and wall mounted indoor units in symmetrical pair, twin and double twin combinations. Combination with FUQ - ceiling suspended and FCQ-D - high COP 950x950 cassettes however, is only available on the Super Inverter range RZQ. Operating temperature ranges are –5 to 46°CDB (in cooling) and –10 to 15.5°CWB (in heating). Maximum piping length is 30m (3HP model) and 50m (4 and 5HP models).
